Default A new member and a new car!

Hello all,

I'm expecting a shiny new pony this week from the friendly local Ford dealer!

I'm a new college grad with a new job playing with airplanes (my other hobby), and I recently decided to upgrade my vehicular situation. I'm currently driving an '87 Mercedes that I bought while in school and has given me 10k trouble filled miles

I looked at all my options, mainly considering used cars along the European/driver's car theme, but I also noticed that the base V6 Mustang was also within reach. I really like the odometer reading of new cars, so I took one for a test drive to see how it would stack up against, say, $20k worth of used BMW 3-series. After much deliberation and probably more test drives that one should be entitled to (including a black/black GT Premium ), they found me a car with the bits I wanted.

It's a white V6 base, manual, with Appearance and Performance Packages, and I talked them into doing a 19" GT wheel swap (the packaged wheels are a little too coarse to my eye). It's supposed to be in Wednesday!

Cheers,
Ryan

Thanks guys,

I've got a BMW-driving friend from college in the Denver area (he owns a 1988 e30 M3), and soon I'll be making a weekend trip out that way so we can hit up some Colorado twisties in our cars I've been quietly doing my research around here, and I think I have a decent plan in mind for mods. I'm not rushing in to anything, though, as this car will be treated with respect as a lady deserves.

That's great. I know you can wait to enjoy your new ride. I have a 2000 BMW M3 myself, but selling it when i get back...
