Just wanted to say hello to all of the members in this forum. My wife and I look forward to conversing with you and picking your brains to help us to restore/modify our new family project car, a dark gray 97 GT.
She currently features an automatic transmission, 18" chrome cobra wheels with spacers and a complete lowering job with an Eibach Pro-Kit and new shocks all around. The look and ride of this is perfect and is there for keeps!
The engine has never been modified with the exception of a new aluminum radiator. The previous owner removed the exhaust system and put on a set of cherry bombs. Can not say I agree with that mod! Can you say "flowmaster"!
Our plans are to finish converting the interior to a black theme with some racing seats up front and a new stereo. Then do some lite engine and exhaust modifications. It is a street car for my wife and I to have some fun in and enjoy as a project together.
It has been many years since I had the joy of owning a mustang or an american car for that matter! My first car was a 79 V8 4 speed red mustang that I loved. After wrecking that vehicle (should not have done a slide around a wet corner) I purchased what became my "baby" for many years. A 1973 torino with a 400 small block. This car eventually made close to 550 hp and was equipped with NOS and all the race goodies a young man could afford. I enjoyed the Torino for many years until an engine fire took her from me.
My wife's first car was also a mustang, a mustang II. It was green with white interior and she loved it up until the day she was hit and lost her baby.
Now after more than 20 years it is back to the car that started it all, the beloved mustang. We really look forward to chatting to each and every one of you about our cars and the adventures we have with them.
Thanks!

Same here! My wife is into Mustangs big time. But, I have to reel her in once in a while. She gets too much into going to car shows at times, and trying to subscribe to every Mustang magazine. Got her down to 3 now. ENJOY the time together.
