Hi - New Member - Future 2013 GT
Hi,
I'm a new member (but an old "member" of Mustangs in general) - I have a question and am looking for some thoughts on my future 2013 GT.
Being a sports car enthusiast, I was going to immediately opt for the Brembo package - great price for all the suspension tweaks and front brakes (of course) that come along with it.
However, since I will be driving the car daily, I'm more concerned with the cost of the summer tires that fit the Bembo wheels. If I had a choice, I would opt for suspension tuning only, leaving the Brembos off and freeing up my choices of wheels and performance all-season tires (I still do not plan on driving the car in the winter no matter what - I live in CT).
I'm considering getting a non-Brembo car and just adding heavier sway bars to tighten things up in the lateral axis just a bit - giving me somewhat of a compromise between "streetability" and a little better performance over the stock chassis dynamics.
Any thoughts or advice? Opinions? I drove both Brembo and non-Brembo cars - I don't think the Brembo car was too harsh for me to live with as far as ride quality, but i will drive the car again this week to confirm.
If this car was not a daily driver, it would be Brembo all the way. I'm looking for a compromise. My weekend car is Italian, so needless to say, i'd rather be using money to keep it in top running condition than I would spending money on summer tires for my daily driver....
Sorry for the long windedness...
Thanks in advance,
Anthony
