Default Just purchased 1991 GT Convertible!!!

Hi All Newbie here. I just purchased a 1991 GT convertible on Ebay and havent taken ownership yet. It is all stock Red with a white top and white leather interior/Red trim. Car has 60k original miles and is very clean with no rust and minor wear & tear. Never been involved in a collison and has original paint, overall the car looks pretty damn clean. It has a 5 speed manual which being a convertible was a pretty rare find I've noticed. I paid $7,200 for the car. First question is was that a fair price? I had an 87 red GT 5 Speed back in my teenage years and absolutely loved the car. Ive been reading the 87's were about a second faster 1/4 mile speeds. Can anyone tell me why this is? I also am aware the convertible is heavier and slower. I had minor mods to my 87, offroad exhaust, 355 rear, 65mm throtle body, ram air system and pullies. Ran a 13.7 at the track with a full tank and snow tires. Can anyone suggest some mods without changing the heads or tearing apart the engine. Just gonna use this car to have some fun on the weekends. It also has a stainless steel Borla cat back system on it. Would love to hear some opinions/suggestions since it been over 20yrs since I played around with one of these. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated and looking forward to hearing what you guys have to say. Thanks!
