1st stang need help with rear end
Hello all, thanks for all the great info. i hope to be of some value to other mustang lovers in the future. for now i am taking on the task of changing out the "pumpkin" in my 68 coupe. i have purchased a whole 9" housing with axels, pumpkin, 4:11 gear and detroit locker posi. The only thing i plan to use from this is the pumpkin. my only problem is trying to figure out wether i have an 8" or 9" rear end now. the bolt patterns seem to be exactly the same measurements, with 10 bolts. could the 8" pumpkin and the 9" pumpkin have the same bolt pattern? please help!!! thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums! Try asking your tech question over in the classic section- Soaring and the guys will help you out with that, I'm sure they know the answer.
