HEY! I HAVE A STORY TO TELL!!
hello! My name is Tommy and i'm new to mustang forums! this is my second mustang and my relationships with my stangs is really a love hate kind of thing! i really love the cars and take such good care of them! they treat me like ****! my first mustang was a 94' it had afr 164's, ecam, frpp 4.10's, built AOD trans go shift kit, 3200 stall, intake manifolds, fuel everything.. the car had it all and ran great when it ran. i had to rebuild that engine 4 times within a year because it kept having problems! this car is my new mustang. i bought this car from the dealership because it was so clean. the only mods that it has so far are volant intake, gutted h-pipe, and borla stingers. the car also has a new set of venom 19lb injectors because they were a little less expensive than stock. i got the car in February and all the coil packs started going out so i put on all new coil packs. then it started running really bad and the whole inside was getting hot like a sauna because the first cat on the drivers side went into the second (baffle) and clogged it causing huge power loss and heat. i then gutted the cats which was ALOT harder than described!! after all that the car developed a knock and since the car had 133k on it i decided to get a brand new rebuilt engine. after running the new engine for about 2 weeks it started missing again and i replaced all the injectors and that didn't help. a compression test indicated the worst. i took the car back to the guy who built the engine and he fixed it under warranty but the pistons were all cracked and burned. i drove the car for another month and the heater core went. then the radiator the day after! then same thing happened with the pistons again!! the car is "fixed" now with all new pistons and 2 new heads but still has a cyl#4 miss! compression is 155-160 all the way around! brand new injectors and another new cop! i dont know anymore why i bother with these cars but i love the feel and the sound that just cannot be replicated or matched by anything else. i have a feeling there may be a tune on the car. the reason being is when the cat went, and when i gutted the cats. the car had absolutely no ses light. the only lights were when the lines for the egr vac valve melted and delta sensor line next to it blew off because of the cats. the light was "manufacturer fuel air metering" or something but they never came back once i gutted the cats. another thing unrelated to the engine was when i first got it back the clutch shattered during break in! i was driving her like a baby! after i replaced the clutch the new throw out bearing started squeeling in less than a week! now i have a frpp clutch which feels amazing. anyways if you have any input on my situation i really appreciate it! heres pics of all the stuff that happened to me since feb 2012.

Your story sounds so much like my Corvette experience. I feel your pain.
hopefully now you will get years of enjoyment out of the Stang. It is sharp looking.
