Default Should I buy???

My name is Hoody and I am living in Mexico.

I have the opportunity to buy a 1968 Ford Mustang .289 automatic with a replacement v8 engine. The cost is approximately 9, 720 USD.

On passing a car showroom i noticed this vehicle from a distance. The place was closed but I was told by security that the car was absolutely not for sale as the boss was a Mustang collector and this was just part of his "hobby".

I returned a couple days later and spoke to the boss directly. He invited me to attend his Mustang club that night. I went and was shown 2 of his Mustangs (1965 and 1968) and they were beautiful. He told me had other Mustangs, too!

To cut a long story short he is willing to sell me the car.

I´ve spotted other Mustangs for sale but at much higer prices!!!

The car is to be fully restored by the owner. This included new interior, tires, etc, so will be like new.

I have a few questions though:

1. Is the gentleman quoting a fair price for this vehicle?
2. Is this a good option for a daily driver (work is about a 6 mile round trip)?
3. How much will gas be to fill this guzzler (approx)?
4. Should I buy this car?

I have to make a decision soon so I look forward to hearing from you.

Hoody

Is it worth the money?

Welcome to the forum. The prices in the states vary greatly depending on the quality of the restoration but the price doesn't sound too bad at all.

Welcome to MF.. if it's an original V8 car awesome.. if not, be careful.. If you can get pictures, it would help a lot more in putting a value on it..
