New guy!

It was a very clean but completely stock 98 Cobra when I picked it up. The interior was perfect except for a worn out spot on the bolster of the driver's seat. The front bumper was almost white because the guy that had it before me got a whole bunch of dead love bugs on it and then didn't wash them off so the acid from them ate all the paint away. I wen't ahead and painted it myself on the car and it turned our really nice. Got some cool looking clear smoked headlight assemblies and some smoked Euro tail lights (not liking them much now but they will do till I can get some stock ones and tint them). The motor that was in it had 130k miles on it. Rather than freshen it up I snagged an already gone through motor from another 98 Cobra. I gave the guy my old motor and $1000 for the rebuilt one. Not a bad pick there. During the swap we did the full exhaust and replaced a few more parts under the hood like the radiator and all brand new A/C components to include new lines. It blows COLD. I just picked up a brand new Optima Yellow top this weekend. A guy bought it and it didn't fit in his wife's car so I traded him straight up for a regular Duralast I had just bought for the Cobra. Pretty sweet deal there.
The only problem I'm having now is a horrible creak and groan in the rear end. It started happening after we lowered the car. Any idea what I might have screwed up to cause this?

How far down did ya lower it? You might need to have new alignment and also Caster/Camber plates. This might stop the squeakiness.
And in the future you will need to invest in HD shocks and struts.
Hope this helps.

That's good info. I'll take it over to my buddy's shop and have him check it out. Thanks!
