Default Gas Mileage Concerns

I just bought my first mustang this past summer. I am really enjoying it and look forward to buying the Shelby in the future. I have noticed though for some reason my gas mileage has dropped tremendously. Even when I fill up and reset my gauges at most it says I have 230 miles till E on a full tank. When I first got the car it told me I had around 350 miles to E on a full tank. When I reset the ECU in my car with a tuner my gas mileage went back up but slowly started dropping again. Can someone tell me if they have had the same problem and how it can be fixed.

That happened to me as well. It seems like it starts at the best case scenario, then it adjusts itself to how you drive. The only way to fix it is to drive more conservatively. That isn't much fun though.

I thought that was the case also but i had the car for about 2 months in New Hampshire and I never had an issue with the gas mileage. Im from Alabama so had to drive it down here and after I got my oil changed at the Ford dealerhip is when i started having the problems. I told Ford about it and they just told me it was the way I was driving also but I havent changed they way I drive since I bought the car. I have noticed though that the average mile per gallon goes down but never goes back up even when i start driving more conservatively.
