im a newbie
Hey everyone!
I'm a newbie to the forum and to owning a mustang.
I joined the Air Force about 2 years ago. When i joined, i had a 96 mercury cougar XR7, however
about 2 weeks before i left for basic training, i was hitt head on by a drunk teenager in an 89 chevy pickup. The car was trashed, over $25K in damages! The paramedics said i was lucky to be breathing after that accident, but i thought it was a gift from god to walk away without one scratch! Anyway, after that, i went to basic, then to training school where my friend let me drive her 2000 v6. I quickly learned that even the v6 mustangs could out accelerate and out maneuver quite a few of those pesky ricers i had lost or tied with in my cougar. After that, i got those most unfavorable orders to go to korea. Being the person i am, i figured that i could at least save some money when i was there. I decided to start shopping for cars. At first, i was looking at corvettes, then caddilac, then even some 97 cougars. I then remembered how fun it was to be behind the wheel of pony car going sideways with the tires lit up! I then found this beautiful car with 5,600 miles on it! It was a "red fire" 2003 GT coupe with grey leather and all the options. I was exited. I learned that an older gentelman had owned the car, and garaged it and never even drove it in the rain. Then he was forced to sell it when his wife was cursed with having to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair and he traded it in and bouhgt a van. I saw the opportunity, and jumped on it. I had the car in my driveway in about a week. Now it waits under watchful eyes from home in the garage next to my step-father's 2002 yellow corvette convertible.

RE: im a newbie
yeah unfortunately last i heard he was suffering from brain damage due to massive head trama. He hit his forhead on the steering wheel, then it went through the back window. I think that it sucks that he is handicapped now, but i dont feel bad for him personally jsut his family, because he made the choice to drive drunk and he almost killed me.
