Hello All
Hello All. I am a new member and the proud owner of a 65 Mustang Coupe for about 2 months now.
Since it is COLD here most of the time during Winter in Maryland, I have mostly been working on the interior restoration. I have been doing this OUTSIDE and mostly during the weekend. It's coming along nice and already have the Dash redone and the undelayment and carpeting in. I am currently working on reupholstering the seats with new foam for the front seats. I cannot find rear seat foam so I guess I'll shop around at the fabric stores.
1965 Coupe 289 w 4 barrell carb 4 speed (the engine and trans is out of a 68)
No major rust just some surface bleed though on the primer and a couple of dings that need fixing. I think the last time the car was on the road was 1968 since it still had a 1968 tag on it and was garage kept except for the last few years before I bought it.
She is pretty quick especially after installing the Pertronix Ignitor III ignition module with a 40,000 volt coil and doing plugs, wires, rotor and distributor cap. I also gegreased the engine bay (it wasn't too bad) and sprayed the carb really good.
I buy something for her every week. My wife says I am being neglectful of my home chores since I bought it. (As long as I don't neglect her, I guess I am OK.)
