New Texas 5.0 Owner
I am stationed here at Ft Hood Texas and just purchased my wife a new 2013 Sterling Grey 5.0 Mustang. Had to purchase the automatic since my wife did not feel comfortable driving a standard for a everyday driver. After reading on here a bit it seems like the automatic is a bit faster anyways...
My wife has already been bit by the MOD bug and here is a short list of near future modifications:
From Dealer: True Dual Flomaster Exhaust, Remote Start
Future Mods: Pedestal Spoiler, Quarter Window Louvers, paint hood vents flat black, matte black hood strip, CAI, Engine Tuner, Red brake covers, & car audio upgrade.
If anyone has any quick advice on these that would be much appreciated!

Brake covers look really cheap and cheesy, also they are way over priced. A friend of mine bought the ones sold on American Muscle and the way they are designed is just very bad the clips that go in between the caliper and the rotor would rub anytime you drove it making an awful noise so we ended up taking them off. I would rather use red caliper paint. As for the Plasti-dip I've never used it myself but the website claims you wouldn't need to apply more coats.

There are a ton of reasons brake covers fail but I'll give you two important ones.
1. Tacky and can be spotted from a mile away (even my wife can pick them out).
2. They are imitating a BBK which is comparable to autozone fender vents, an intercooler on a car with a naturally aspirated engine (the interfooler), whistle tips, etc.
If you really can't stand the look of the stock calipers just paint them black and call it a day.
