New Old Mustang
Well Last Week I bougth a 1983 Ford Mustang GT, The engine was replaced with that of a 1990 GT 5.0 bored out 30mm over, finished with aftermarket internals, along with brand new clutch and transmission. The car runs like a dream and the power on this thing is amazing...and i just got into domestics so i'm hoping to learn and hopefully tune the car to a fine machine using this forum...

It is Black, with leather seats, all seats are in good condition except for the driver's side it's got a little tear in the seat itself, the body it's not in it's best condition but hopefully i will take it to the body shop in a few days to get the car sanded down and take out all the little dents. i also want to upgrade the exhaust but i dont know where to start....

Exhaust is the 1st thing to do & the most fun. It makes it sound great & also adds some nice HP if done right. I would start with headers, the H or X pipe then the cat back system. Now which typ you are looking for will all depend on what your looking for. What type of sound, how much HP & how much torque. Do some research & find out what specifics you're looking for then go from there,...

Welcome ! yes, -83 is a nice car. My first GT was a -83. Sold that one in -89. That was a 14.sec daily driver. Have a look under yours, and see if there are any subframe conectors installed.Important to have them,my car nearly broke apart under the drivers seat...!!! Have to weld it together, and install subframes. Change the clutch qadrant (my broke) and be careful with your standard 7.5inch rear... and take care of yor four eye car !
