25 years in the making
Hey all,
Back in 1989 the only thing in life I wanted was a new LX 5.0. After Navy life, and raising a family over the last 22 years, I got what I wanted. No, not an '89 LX 5.0. But a '13 GT in Candy Red Metallic. It was a Ford Demo car through their Executive program. Or a Ford Executive car through their Demo program, I have no idea which. All I know is that it is 1 year and 1 month old, with only 6100 miles. It is way more equipped than I was planning on. It is a 6sp Manual, Premium with Brembo, Recaro's, Backup Cam, Reverse sensors, Track Apps, Tinted windows, and 3.73 rear end. But no Pony light projected from the mirrors? Was that a separate option?
The night before I actually bought the car, I ordered the Bondra clutch pedal spacer. Drove the car 3 days before I got it and man what a difference that little spacer made! Best ergo mod EVAR! GT500 mufflers should be here by Friday from AM. Looking forward to adding a catch can and MGW short shift here in the near future. Just mounted a Scosche universal mount for my smart phone and now it sits in the center passenger side vent. Very convenient. The car this replaced was a 2009 Jetta TDI. Now I smile every time I step on the gas, not just when I have to stop for gas.
