Default '68 289 Mustang Engine Help!

I wanted to do my 1st complete engine rebuild. I have a numbers matching 289 out of a '68 coupe that I want to put in my '67 Mustang convertible. This engine has been sitting for at least 20 years. It has gotten some water in it at some point. There was/is a lot of rust inside. Some on the cylinder walls. Not as bad as there probably could be. I've tore it down most of the way except now I'm stuck at the crank(I can not get it out) because all the pistons are stuck. I've removed all the main bearing caps and piston bearing caps. I've tried using wood and hammer. I've soaked it with PB Blaster. I don't have any kind of heat source to heat them up and try any of those methods....am I wasting my time with this engine...?

Kerosene or marvel mystery oil. But if you cant get them out its likely the sleeves are shot and it will need bored. If your not willing to bore the cylinders and get new pistons , and rings Id say its a lost cause

I willing to get new pistons, rings, even a crank if i have to and bore it. I just want to get it all out so I can have a shop look at it and get started.

oh and when I say kerosene , I mean get a huge tub and submerge the entire block .

But like I said rust destroys the sleeves so likely they are pitted pretty bad.
Boring is probly your best case for saving the block.

You may need to submerge it for 4 or 5 days before the kerosene will free them.
