Hey guys I've been lurking on a number of mustang forums and finally decided to join. I picked up a 2001 mineral gray GT coupe last December, did the normal tune up stuff to it, fluids, filters, plugs and fuel filter.
Well its time to dig a little deeper and replace some suspension components, i'm planing on replacing the shocks and struts with KYB GR-2's and the quad shocks with KYB gas-a-just. I'm weighing my options on a few things. i want to replace all of the rubber bushings and replace them with Polyurethane, I am considering the prothane total bushing kit and sway bar bushings from AM, however I am torn between replacing the stock bushings and boxing in the stock control arms and just buying after market control arms, I'm considering the BBK, J&M and SR performance. The rear will get finished with 3.73's and 315's
This car is a daily driver that I want better performance out of. Not much is planned for the engine, it has 175K on it and i'd rather buy a lower mileage motor or rebuild before i go to crazy. I already have a CAI, and am planning on just doing a full exhaust and tune for now. on the new engine i'd like to do cams, and TB and plenum.
we'll have to see exactly what I plan to do power wise i'm willing to admit to a little bit of a sibling rivalry with my twin brother who has a 91 5.0 Fox.
