Unhappy New to Mustangs and Need Help Upgrading It

Ok .. So I am really new to Car Upgrading. I can do the simple stuff when i comes to cars such as Maintenance. But when it comes to upgrading a car specifically my 2002 Ford Mustang GT Convertible w/ 4.6 L SOHC Engine.. I have no idea what im doing... And yes I do need help.. So with that being said I have a couple questions....First off I have added some "upgrades/modifications" to my car already and was wondering if I had to upgrade other things in my in order for the car to run like it should.. one of those modifications was a CAI by Tunable Inductions and a Pacifica X Pipe.. yes that is all i have done to my car .. which leads me to my second question.. Since i changed the stock Intake for a CAI do i need to change anything else to my car.. someone told me i had to change my injectors and spark plugs.. if so.. to what? I really am lost and need some help... same thing with the Pacifica X Pipe do i need to modify anything else to my car for it to work right..
P.S. I did remove the Converters when I got the X Pipe in place and my Check Engine stayed on for a while.. the light hasnt been going back on now for a while so now im starting to wonder if maybe the lack of the converters may have screwed over the O2 sensors on the pipe... I really need all the help i can get.. I

Hey and welcome. My question is, after the CAI and X pipe was your car running rough, or by running "good" do you mean more HP? Those 2 upgrades are just bolt ons and are just what they mean, bolt on and go. The check engine light is going to be on, and is a simple fix. All you need is a tuner or code reader to reset the code that its throwing.

If you need any help on bolt on upgrades MCxQUBED made a good thread for beginners:

Most CAI's require the car to have its computer re tuned, because the air to fuel ratios are not right. Which is why you could be getting a check engine light, you could be running to rich or to lean. Which could cause harm if you let it go to long.....

welcome

You don't need to change the injectors or spark plugs for just a CAI upgrade....but you should get the car retuned, to make sure the air/fuel is correct.
