New But Not
Hi guys!
Bought my '06 GT off the showroom brand new, but am new to this forum. It's Torch Red, 5-speed, red leather and shaker 500. Mods are SLP Loudmouth axle backs, JLT CAI with SCT III tuner, bamachips tunes, and Goodyear Eagle GS D3's (?)
Car has 51k miles, runs perfectly, but recent job has me in airports and rentals most of the time.
Getting itchy for a road trip, and may want to do just a little modding, maybe hit a couple drag/autoX tracks while I'm gone. (Long 10-14 day, 4-state kind of thing)
Looking forward to picking up some new tips and tricks from you fine folks!

It sounds like you already have a ton of great mods, what are your plans for the future? Keep up the great work with your build and let me know if you ever have any questions or need some assistance.
Congratulations on the new job!

Welcome to the forum! Post up some pictures of your S197, we'd love to check it out. Torch Red is a great color, I miss my GT all the time!

Greddy Spec 2 is a boost controller! You must be referring to the Greddy stage 2 race clutch...
A greddy race clutch is going to be a bit much for your current setup
and will chatter and shudder like crazy unless you plan on racing daily. Those clutches are pucked and intended for high rpm launches and higher HP applications. Unless you dropping 500+ to the wheels,
Exedy has some more practical options you should look into.

Exedy spec II clutch. The flywheel supposedly matches the upgraded clutch without chatter, and fairly mild. Yes? No?
