Okay guys so i just finished writing up a nice intro thread before my computer decided I wasn't going to post it so I'll keep this one short.

I have a 66 Mustang with a 200 I6 that is completely seized. It is a project me and my father are working on and neither of us know anything about rebuilding engines, so i'm looking to find a running replacement engine. The guy we bought it from was a huge mustang guy, owner of GT500KR and Boss 302, and he told us that we would be able to find one easily but i've had no luck.

Any of you guys know where i could find a running 200 I6?

The car is in awesome condition otherwise really just need a running engine to get her back on the road.

if it is seized from sitting only sometimes you can pour a bunch of Marvel mystery oil in the cylinders wait about a week then try to turn engine with breaker bar. I have had success before. depends how bad rings are

Welcome, and good luck. I like the oil and breaker bar method myself. It really does work.

I like the 289 as well but unfortunately its not feasible for my situation :/

We have tried spraying wd-40 and liquid wrench in there with no success, cant get the breaker bar to budge.

Appreciate all the responses guys!

WD40 is no match for a stuck engine. only Marvel Mystery will do it and like I said takes time . at least 3-4 days. If it did move with the WD40 it would probably just score the cylinder walls and ruin it.
