Hey guys/Gals I've been a lurker for a month or so.
First off I'm sorry to say I don't have a DL and can't drive our new car. I've been legally blind since birth so the rat bastards won't give me a DL. Though all of you might be safer this way it sucks for me.
People know what blind is, but don't always know what legally blind is. Well during an eye exam I can see the Big 'E' and nothing else. This is with my best corrected eyesight with glasses. Without glasses not even the 'E' can be seen.
I've always loved cars and know enough to get myself in trouble. I installed a whipple SC on our previous 07 F150 so i am not completely void of skills.
My father and I love the old pontacs. Dad and I have restored a couple drivers for ourselves. I'm a Gen 2 guy and he likes GTO's. He has two 66's with one being a vert.
My wife and I own a 77 Trans-am, 71 Formula, 07 Harley trike, 12 F250 KR, 5th wheel, a pontoon boat, and our newest purchase is an 08 Mustang GT vert 5 spd manual.
The wife drives them all. She is one hell of a woman.
Our new stang is Triple black 4.6, GT premium, manual, leather, Shaker 1000, active anti-theft, duel heated/power seats, 3.55 gears, and cloth top. It was ordered with the CS wheels, but isn't a CS.
It has 36k on the ticker. Wasn't lucky enough to get the 2nd gen heads as it is a early 08 build, but having owned a 3v before I knew of spark plug issue. I'll switch them out for one pieces when I change them. Problem solved.
We bought the Mustang in Apr and so far the mods completed are:
1. One touch rear windows
2. One touch Vert Top
3. Trunk Release button
4. MGW short-throw shifter
I'll be doing a shaker hood (for looks not performance) and side scoops over the next month or so. The hood has 5-6 small chips so thinking about a respray of it after I cut it for the shaker.
Thinking about matte black strips, but not sold on them yet. Saw a black gt500 that had them and liked the way it looked.
At some point CAI and a tune. Maybe at some point down the road another Supercharger and all the goodies required for it. (Clutch, one piece drive shaft, Fuel pumps, LT's, TB, etc).
Here are a few pics: nothing to special, but a fun cruiser.
