to show or not to show

to show or not to show
So as a surprise I registered my BFs Mustang in the AM 2014 Mustang show and now he's freaking out. So far we've only done cosmetic improvements and he feels he's not ready to show it. It's an absolutely beautiful car and we don't go anywhere without someone commenting on it. I guess I just wasn't thinking it through. I was just thinking he's so proud of it and we really want to immerse ourselves in more Mustang culture (if that's a thing?!) so I thought it would be fun. Now i'm not sure what to do.
He has a black 2010 GT and it's a daily driver.
Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions or guidance? Can I unregister?

Might wanna post a pic and most importantly post in the appropriate section of MF. IMO car shows are not about winning or
Losing. Its hanging out with folks that's share the same interest that you have. Their cars! Just go out and have a good time.

3dogsnight73 both of you just go and enjoy the show, no one will care. Just make sure the car is clean. I can't believe how many shows I have been to, where some people don't even spend the time to at least clean their car.

+1 ^^^ on all the above.
Like Soldier said, car shows are not about winning/losing. It's about meeting new people with similar interests. Go there with that frame of mind and you'll both have a blast. I was like your bf in that I wouldn't dare park my car near a show, but our local weekly car gathering at the local drive in changed all that. Nicest people you'll ever meet. Now I'm a regular lol.

Do it! I've entered mine twice in that show, and many times in a variety of other shows. Mines a daily driver, got some scratches, and really most of my mods are cosmetic as well.
It's more about having fun and looking at what everyone has done to their own cars, talking with other enthusiasts, and just enjoying yourself! There will be over 1000 cars there, you guys totally need to go and show!
