Default Need help on MPG, 2014 Mustang

I have just purchased a brand new twenty fourteen Mustang... Its a V6 I wanted to get the GT but I do a lot of daily driving... The website says 19/29 MPG but all I'm getting in real world is around 16 MPG, I don't know why? Is it normal I expected at least you know 20-23 freeway/city combined... I don't slam the gas I drive pretty normal I take freeway mostly and I don't turn on the A/C

What MPG do you get out of your car?

...I get about 19-20 in my 99. Is your car an auto or manual? Shift points? Cruising speeds? Any tires low on air? Do you weigh 1200 pounds?

If you want to get manufacture claimed gas milage you'll have to drive like a little old lady. I have a 12 V6 and it gets about 24 with me using cruise control all the time. Any little bit of fun you have with your car and kiss your milage bye bye.

You should spend some time with your owners manual. To be honest, I don't know if all models come with cruise control. Regardless, it is pretty much the same for any vehicle you drive.

How many miles you got on your car? I've heard about supposedly engines 'breaking in' to make a little bit more power but maybe the same is true for fuel economy..(though perhaps only after a few tanks of gas versus several thousands of miles).

LOL. You have not had your car long enough to know what your fuel economy is. You are just scratching the surface.

Mustangs are not fuel economy cars. You might want to consider trading it in for 4 cyclinder / hybrid car.
