Just bought a 2013 GT. Picture HEAVY.
Hey, guys.
I've posted once before on here, but the deal fell through when I went to take delivery of a 2013 GT Premium to find it was leaking axle oil.
Yesterday morning I went to look at a 2013 GT premium at a dealership by me. They had 2 GT's I liked, but I mainly went for the silver one. When I got there it was pending sale, then a few minutes later did, in fact, sell.
I wasn't too upset because I wasn't a fan of the color and all 4, yes all 4 wheels had been curbed extremely bad. I don't know how anyone does that, but that's another topic.
Long story short, I went and checked out the other GT. It wasn't a premium but I really didn't give a ****. I liked the color a lot and the car was straight. No dings, dents, no accidents or paintwork. And the black wheels were a plus. And if anyone has any clue what the wheels are called I'll be in your debt, because I'm dying to know if they are junk or decent.
The sales dude and I go inside to run some numbers on the GT and my trade, a 2013 GTI. He came back basically insulting me. I counter offered and he came very close, but I thought I could get more. I was wrong. He let me walk out the door.
Driving home in my GTI made me finally feel like I was leaving my "new" car behind for the first time since last summer and the 4 GT's I've looked at. I waited for the salesman to call or text me, but he never did. 4 hours later I texted him accepting the offer and went to get it.
The car seems to be completely stock besides the wheels and pype bomb mufflers (insight on this exhaust would be appreciated), and for some reason the previous owner welded them on, I have no clue why. I also feel like the clutch isn't as strenuous to push in like the other ones I've driven. This will be my 6th Mustang I've ever owned. Previous one's were an 85 GT, 89 LX, 2 - 87 Notchbacks and a 97 triple black ragtop.
Anyways, glad to be on here and if anyone ever has questions regarding paint or body work, I'm your man.
This is the Premium I went to initially buy
Here's my GTI. I will miss this car.
This is what I drove home.
And here's my old Harley.
