Hello all! New to Forum
Hey everyone. I've LOVED Foxbodys since I was about 12 years old. I just turned 17 and have a job and want to save up and hopefully have one by summer and do a mild build to the motor. I've never done any major work on car motors before so that's why I am here. I've torn apart, rebuilt, lashed valves, etc on numerous 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines just don't have any experience with car motors and neither does my dad. So just thought I'd stop by and say hello. Also, if I have an idea on smaller engines, can I apply that to the 302 cause I'd like to find one and pull the motor for a striker kit, or cam, or something of that sort. How difficult are we talking? I'd love for it to be something I could get into I love just about anything with a motor and always have. Anyways, hello everyone and looking forward to being a part of the forum!

I love your initiative for challenging yourself to do something that you love and and that you want to learn. Good qualities right there man!
Good luck on your endeavor... Your at the right place. Just head over to the tech section and start searching threads for Engine builds.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you.
As said above, the best thing to do now is just start reading/searching old thread on subjects that pertain to your goals. There is a ton of info on here to sort through.
And yes the same basic principal that you applied to small 4 stroke engines can be applied to a 302.......... within reason. But here's the biggy, it just costs a lot more. Now you won't find a better car for modding, do a guick search on Craigslist/eBay for Mustang parts and you'll see there plentiful and cheap, but one mod leads to another and another. Set your goals with the car and stay within a budget and you'll love it.
Ehh, skip the budget, they never work lol.
