Default 19" Machined Rim plasti dip?

Thought these rims looked good when I purchased them. Not a fan of them now that they're on the car. Thinking about plasti dipping - just for a change. Thoughts/ideas?

Cheers,
John

Welcome, and there's only one way to find out. Try it on one rim and see if it's worth the trouble. Good luck

If you go this route, post up some before and after pics. Everyone loves those.

I never plastidipped rims, but I did all the badges on my car. It turned out a lot better than I expected. It wouldnt hurt to try it on your wheels. the stuff is actually pretty easy to peel off if you dont like it as well.

I was thinking about plasti dipping the wheels on my truck and the place I went to gave me a website from where they get thier stuff and I wasn't a big fan of the designs just make sure you like it before it's done cause then it's just money out the window

I like the all black wheels but would not dip THOSE wheels. Those are a premium option and have enough black on them already. Just my opinion. I think those wheels look great. And while I've never dipped before, I see a lot of cars on the road where there are remnants of dip that has been removed all over. Maybe it comes off a new smooth rim easy, but others not so much.

I recently replaced my daily driver and plan on dipping the rims. I'll post how it turns out once I get around to messing with it.

Fellas,

Been a bit busy, but did the winter wheels a couple months back. Attached are the photos, let me know what you think. Came out pretty good, bought 3 cans black and 1 of the gloss. Went with the Rustolem brand (Flexi-dip) instead of Plastidip from Home Depot.

Ended up acquiring/buying a winter beater (Merc Mariner), so maybe I'll post these tires and rims for sale sometime in the coming weeks.

Cheers,
John
