Original Owner 1970 Mustang

I am the original owner of a 1970 Mustang convertible that I intend to sell. I am looking for help from the forum in establishing a fair price for its sale. The car is in good condition, is driveable and has approximately 103,000 miles on it. It has the original six cylinder 250 cu. in. engine with automatic transmission. It has a blue exterior and interior (original colors)with a white convertible top. Work that has been done over the years includes floor pan replacement & rustproofing, rust and dent repair on doors and quarter panels, complete refinish and clear coat, dashboard and interior carpeting replacement, shock and brake replacement, exhaust manifold replacement, gas tank replacement, water and fuel pump replacement. This was my wife's first car. It has been kept in a dry garage for most of its life. Additional work required includes some front seat repair/replacement (some tears on driver side) and some miscellaneous exterior trim work (antenna, molding, etc.). Please comment on what I might expect as a reasonable price range.

Welcome to the forum.

But putting a price on something like that through a forum is pretty tough, especially with no pics. I'd just look around your area through Craigslist and EBay. See what people are asking for similar Mustangs. Then ask a little less if you want to sell it. Good luck

Selling a classic car can vary quite a bit.

With 6 cylinder the muscle car guys don't want it.

You have to find the right buyer.... Price it a little higher starting out and bring the price down as needed. Good pictures help out a lot. Take lots of them.

Searching completed listings on eBay for similar mustangs to yours might give you a good starting point. You could see what they have been selling for and what prices were too high to catch anyone's attention.
