Default Lurching and jerking while driving

Hello all,
I have an 02 v6 mustang. For the past few days it will start up very hard and really lurch forward and stop and such. Then after awhile it's fine but if I ever put my foot down and get up to about 3500rpm it really resists and will either jerk and lurch, the exhuast note will be very choppy almost like a cylinder isn't firing or something and/or will not up shift.. I'm not really sure what to do and any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks

hmm... never trust an online diagnosis, of course (t's just too hard to accurately communicate the problem)... but...
The description makes it sound like you've got an automatic. And then it almost sounds like it's "stuck" in the wrong gear ... or that the lock-up solenoid isn't disengaging properly.

Sure as heck could be, looked up a video and I found one a guy who was having similar problems however the exhuast was choppy and cutting out. I'm not to good with cars, would that cause a choppy exhuast ?

yes... it's like driving a manual transmission too slow for the gear it's in. Im still not certain that is your problem, but it sounds like a possibility.

If the car revs fine in Park it is in the transmission.
