thanks guys; the waiting game is the hardest part....i just received the vin last friday from my dealer but no build date eta yet

New guy as of 10 minutes ago. I am a retired custom car builder/gunsmith. Spent over 40 years building, as a hobby and business, street rods & motorcycles. My 32 coupe was featured on the cover and centerfold of Performance Cars mag and featured in Rod Action in 76...yes I am old at 72...but still building. Spent the last couple of decades building guns as a federally licensed gunsmith and have my own range. I am the 1st gen. guru for I6 engines in the Mustang 6 Association. But, to keep to the Forum Rules, it's OK to start a new thread when introducing yourself. I'm saying this with respect as it sounds like your pretty good with a firearm lol.

New to the forum, 65 mustang 289 I installed new 500 cfm holly 2/v it will idle but when I try rev up the engine it sucks air and back fires through the tail pipe. help me
