Hello all! I'm John, from SC. I fell in love with Mustangs when I was 9. After all this time, and a lot of searching, I finally found the Stang I had been looking for. I spent the last 20 years searching and researching, and debating, and talking myself out of buying one. I would often find myself looking at ones on the net, looking for good deals and such, but just couldn't find the exact car I wanted, or I go to look and something about it just wasnt right, or some reason I didn't buy it. Yesterday, my dream finally came true. My wife and I were ready to drive over an hour to look at a 2011. As we were pulling out of the driveway, the dealer called and said it had been sold. My heart sank! I had been spending all week in phone calls and emails with the salesman, and even my wife was excited to go. I did a quick search on Cars.com, and found several more that were good deals, and we set out to look at them. Each one we looked at had a problem, or needed such and such, or just plain didn't feel right. The last dealer we went to had just sold the one we went to look at there, I saw it pulling out of the lot, but stopped in regardless. He searched local dealers while we walked around the lot, looking and several he had there. Call it fate if you wish, but I paused for a second to light a smoke, and as I looked up, there it sat, in all her glory. A 2014 GT. On the test drive I knew this car was coming home with me. Yes it was out of my budget, and I had to cough up some extra cash, but it is mine! My dream has come true!!!

(Sorry for rambling!)

Congratulations!
Im looking for one myself.
I have a question I'd like to throw out there but I can't figure out how to post. Can you help?

This is my question.

I don't own a Mustang yet. I am now in the market for another one 2005-2013. I had a 2005 GT/CS a few years ago but I had to sell it. I was hoping for some advice from all the members. I want my new Mustang primarily for long road trips across the us. I absolutely loved my 05 it was a 6 speed too. I was thinking since I'm using it for road trips that the V6 would be a better choice for fuel mileage. But I love the sound and power of the V8. I see that the 2011 V6 has as much horse power as my 05 V8 had at 305 HP. However the 2005-2010 only has 210 HP What should I do?
Thanks
