Default New user! Also soon to be new owner of 2017 Mustang!

Hey everyone I just wanted to introduce myself! I am a die hard Mustang fan living here in sunny and rainy Boca Raton, FL. I have been a fan of these cars for quite some time, and loved riding in my dads old Fastback growing up.

Now, at 26, I am about to finally upgrade my daily driver (02 Focus) to a brand new 2017 Mustang! I am not sure on the options yet but have been looking at the v6 model and think I could swing the cost.

Any recommendations on the latest model and am I doing the right thing by going for a v6? I would of course love the GT but I think that may be a little bit out of my budget... I would wait a little longer but my Focus is on it's last breath.

Anyways, look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you.

For tips and advice on your shopping, try asking this in the Tech section, the one specific to your year Mustang your looking at. Just more members in that section. Good luck and happy shopping.

Welcome aboard.

I would choose v-6 over the ecoboost.

The v-6 in my 2014 is plenty fast enough...

I test drove 3 powertrains: V-6, ecoboost, 5.0-----liked the V-6 over ecoboost for myself....but sadly FMC does not allow much in way of options on the V-6 configuration......your best $ bet would be to either locate a 2016 with 0% and the $1000 lot bonus.......second idea would be to find nice off-rental V-6 convertible from one of major daily rental companies......you would be in better position equity wise to drive it a while and later consider upgrade to GT Prem convertible. Just my 2 cents
