Default misfire in cylinder 3

Has anyone had this issue? I have the 97 Gt 4.6 Auto. I'm new to owning a mustang and was curious.

Welcome to the forum.

Usually a bad COP, (Coil On Plug). The epoxy on the coil cracks from age and allows moisture in. You can do a quick test by unplugging it while it's running listening for any change. And I'm sure there's tests you can run with a multimeter, but I don't know the readings you'd look for. Google would though.

They're very easy to replace, and usually $40 - $80 a piece. Depending on where you buy them.
