I own a 93 2.3 lx auto ragtop. Picked it up 2 years ago with a 86 turbo block engine {of course they removed the turbo} and car for $1500. Car had major blowback, rings fried and oil leaks galore. At 50 miles of a 100 mile drive home oil fire under the hood. Time to put the other motor in. Drilled turbo block for crank sensor. Changed everything over for the 93 edis all good till I dropped the dual plug head cracked the front tower. Well I live in the sticks SE KY 20 miles from Tenn. no good boneyards around here for 100 miles. Best I could find for a head was 2000 ranger 2.5 head. Redrilled to adapt brackets for alt. and p.s pump. Installed engine 3 times, first time blew oil filter off pressure release bad on oil pump replaced pump, second time blew oil filter off new pump bad replaced it and primed using impact on oil pump pulley pump was good reinstalled engine no codes ran great for 22 months but that is for another thread. So I have a 86 turbo block with a 2000 2.5 head running on 93 intake and edis system. What a set up. A true frankn motor.
