New Guy from South Texas
Figured I'd say hello. Just picked up Mustang number 2 on the 8th. 2017 GT 6 speed 300A. Nothing fancy, it's a drivers car with not a lot of dodads for distractions. Has the spoiler delete and 3.31 rear, in the best looking color, Magnetic Metallic. Had the dealer tint the windows, 5% on the back 3, 30% on the doors(meters at 27%, legal is 25%), and Air 80 on the windshield. All ceramic. 87 miles on it when I picked it up, almost 700 a week later. It's a daily, drive 38 miles one way to work 5 to 7 days a week. Cought a rock morning after tint in the windshield and it immediately cracked😠 Exhaust is going on next weekend. Connex 4600HP Turbo converted to CB going in later today, and the antenna later this week.
Mustang number 1 was a 2015, same as the 17 but in black with a 3.55 rear, I bought June 14. Coming back from PA via Atlanta on vacation on labor day, 9-5, I was rear ended by a "overly tired and distracted" (his words) driver on I-10 in Mississippi. Car had 9202 miles. To make matters worse, he had no insurance and "wasn't his car." It was finally totaled on 9-30 with almost $18,500 in damage, he said he was doing 5 mph... he drove away, I didn't. Limped it off the exit and had it towed. Car had shut off and didnt want to restart at first. Hit so hard it cracked the windshield, broke the mounting tabs on the front bumper, and left a hole in the trunk. I hit the steering wheel, wearing my seatbelt. Car had been tinted the 2 weeks before and exhaust put on 3 weeks before the accident.
Traded my 2008 GMC Serria 3500HD CCLB DRW 4x4 with the Duramax/Allison for the first one. Loved that truck but was needed another trans. Truck was deleted and tuned. She would scoot. And I used it for hotshot. Towed many 19K pound trailers all over. Just time to move on and into something different.
About me, 24 (Yeah I love my ungodly insurance rate on this thing), and I'm a Professional Driver. I haul liquid Fertilizer for a very large AG company known for their potatoes and French fries, I'm sure most of yall have eaten at McDonald's. Been here a year and a half. Spent 4 months in the oilfield in a vacuum truck, also a tanker. Before that I hauled scrap and demo. And before that I hauled construction material and equipment. And hotshotting since 2013. Had my CDL for 4 years, been hauling for 5. I'm an old school trucker, in a steering wheel holder world. Currently driving a 2017 KW T880, or as we call it, a retarded football helmet.
I am also a gun guy.
Think thats enough for now
