My 69 302 sputters and quits at 12 degrees...
HI,
I have a 69 with a 302 2barrel, when I went to start it this morning in 12 degree weather (dont ask, but I needed it to start) it sputtered and spitted and then quit.
Yesterday when it was 40, it started up just fine. Im feeling like it may be a carburetor issue... but I also just had the distributor loose too, and thought it may be a timing issue??? I got it back in with the reference marks, but didnt tweek it.
Thoughts?

Definitely get that timing set correctly first. Then try again.
But to me it sounds like a simple choke adjustment is needed. I don't know if you have a thermal or mechanical choke, but with a mechanical choke you have to "set it" before starting by pushing the gas pedal to the floor one time before cranking.
