new guy story....
Hey what's up everyone, my name's Ray out of Washington state, excited to be signed up and joining a forum for the first time. You can call me fresh meat or the noob cuz I've never tried forums lol. I never thought of it until I was looking around this last week. Seems to be a lot positive post and a rare amount of negative feed back on opinions, advice, selling/ buying which is what i am into. Nice to have a resource about mustangs since most of my friends are euro guys and my wife has no interest in cars of coarse. I started out earning 500 bucks and hit Craigslist asap of coarse for a car. We all know how 500 cars work on there, but at the time I'm new and young having no idea what's going on. I stumbled on the gem of a lifetime... 1988 ford mustang lx, black hatchback (my primary color choice) with the dinky little 2.3. Some other kid was currently driving it, but had lost control into the ditch so there was some minor bumper scrapes and no exterior door handles lol. It was interesting using the the door rod sticking out to open up but unique. Anyways that's where it all started, sold it to a guy who was going to drag it, eventually i bought a 2007 gt all black 4.6 that I modded pretty heavily. i never thought I was going to sell it, but I really got tired of the vvt setup on the 4.6 and swapping a 5.0 was just to much time as it was my dd. So i gave it a shot, sold in 5 days after posting it, and then I was on the hunt! Found a 2014 gt with 7k miles, recaros, brembo package and black, only problem was it was 6 hours away in Idaho. I had bought airlift previously for the 2007, but hesitated to put it on so I decided I would get a 14 and bag it. But of coarse i saw a 2015 gt, pp, black, with 9k miles and decided to go s550. Haven't regretted it at all, they feel more luxury then muscle then previous gens, but just love how it all comes together. Suspension is weak, but I love doing suspension and wheels with exhaust as my first mods, just love transforming the car into a railing, screaming v8 should feel like I my own opinion. Anyways glad to be on here, can't wait to explore some more and meet some other enthusiasts! Thanks!
