Default Driver side exterior lights...2006 4.0L convertible

Problem: front and rear driver side ext. lighting (passenger side front and rear is functioning correctly)

FRONT:One day I walked out to my car and noticed an empty hole where the amber turn signal light should be... I opened hood... saw 5 wires (coming from direction of radiator) exposed/not connected to (ripped out turn signal).

REAR: only the running lights function. (Brake lights, turn indicators do not function)

ACTIONS TAKEN:
Bought a replacement light housing and a pigtail (only three wires... remember, I have 5 wires exposed coming from radiator direction).
TALKED TO MECHANIC: He suggested I find the ends of the 2 "mystery wires"
and reconnect and test the wiring and see if functionality returns.

ROADBLOCK TO PROGRESS:
I attempted to find the frayed ends of the two mystery wires but did not...(although I did find the "empty ribbed protective covering" for the wires as I traced my way back past the front wheel well). The wire covering seems to tuck into the frame of the car and seem to head toward center of car... (not sure because they disappear as they tuck...

CAN YOU HELP:
Any idea how to locate the route wires take back to the rear lights?

(Other comments are welcome also)

Welcome to the forum.

I'd start a new thread in the appropriate Tech section, the one specific to your year Mustang. They'll know more about your year Mustang.

Good luck
