Default Help deciding my first Mustang

Hello all! My name is Sonny and I'm currently new to the forum.

Just so you know, I'm 17, and I'm well aware of the insurance crap here and there so no need to lecture me on that haha!

So here's my dilemma of the day: Going to be buying my first car in a month or two and I'm wondering how well does a 2005-2009 Mustang fair for a new driver? I've been inspired to pick up a Stang eversince I saw the god forsaken Knight Rider 2008 reboot series, so here I am. Before that, I had in mind a Fourth Gen Firebird Trans Am but I don't know whether the Trans Ams are more deadlier to drive than the Stang I'm looking at. So what are your people's takes on this?

For the money can't go wrong with a 98-02 TA

Firebirds of that generation were built like crap compared to the ergonomics and quality of the Mustang. I would go with a 2007-09 GT as the initial new car bugs will have been worked out by that point. If you can find two quality comparable cars, sit in them and drive them and decide for yourself which is better for you.

actually both are awesome;
but, for quality, i would say a Stang GT...

both drive & ride the same, IMO
(kinda rough, the Stang has the old-style suspension, you know...)
so, get a GT (with the better suspension)

i wouldn't trade my 06 Stang for a mint TA...
or... buy whatever's cheaper, & spend the $ you save on upgrades

(& you could just buy 1 & buy the other when you can afford it)

(& just my 2ยข, but... if you don't get insurance, you could afford both )
(only joking-- don't have a cow, people's!)
