I suspect Ford is holding off on the trucks because the trucks are a little more severe duty than the cars. I didn't do any 5 second searching to see if GM is having trouble with their 10 speed in the cars and trucks but everyone I know is very happy with theirs and have had no problems to date. They are the same transmission so maybe Ford is more serious about quality control than GM.

For sure. I specd a 2018 before I bought a 2017. Though it wasn't apples to apples because there are new options, the 2018 would have cost me $15k more.
I would rather get 7k off MSRP and add things I want later.
The only thing is, will be be able to retrofit the digital instrument cluster to a 2017?
