I was suffering from the exact same dilemma, and ended up going with the same conclusion. Except I went Race Red! Also stoked, also have a brother that is drooling!

For sure. I specd a 2018 before I bought a 2017. Though it wasn't apples to apples because there are new options, the 2018 would have cost me $15k more.
I would rather get 7k off MSRP and add things I want later.
The only thing is, will be be able to retrofit the digital instrument cluster to a 2017?
