Default HELP! 1988 Mustang Fuse blowing problem!!!!

Hello All,

I have a 1988 Mustang LX 5.0 that i need to replace the fuse #5 to get my turn signals to work but its keep getting blown. I follow the purple wire with orange stripe but nothing look short circuit.

Please help!

The short can be anywhere from the front to the back.

Unplug the harnesses from the assemblies, and put the signals on to see if the fuse
blows, if so, there is a short to ground, chassis side. If not, proceed:

Plug the driver side harness back in, test, if it blows, the short is in the assembly.
If it does not blow, then plug the passenger side one in, then test again if it
blows here, same deal, in the assembly.

Trial and error...
