Sometimes Fate Kicks Your Butt
Got t-boned two days ago. Car's at the impound lot. I'm not sure if it's totaled or not yet. No airbag deploy or glass damage. Just passenger side is all mush... and ruined one of my custom wheels too!
If it can be repaired all the better.. if not guess it's time to find yet another new car to tool around in.
I'm fine BTW no injuries, and it was the other driver's fault for cutting across oncoming traffic and not yielding...
Man when it happens it's all so fast, such a blur!

Adjuster says he's not ready to total it, damage looks to be about $7,600 but car is worth $15,000 so I may have my baby back in a few weeks.
Body shop they use is a Ford Dealership with lifetime warranty. I'm figuring 3 weeks and she'll be ready.
And I'll drive VERY CAREFULLY!

Got the adjusters estimate of the damage, 9 pages (some legalese on the last 2 pages)
Lots of little things to do to get her back on the road. Since a lot of the body's all welded together (rear quarters for example,) there's a bunch of things that need to come off, get replaced, etc...
Looks like I'll be back on the road in 2-3 weeks...and this time I'll be NICE AND CAREFUL when driving... I know accidents happen, that's life but I'll drive her likes she's brand new!
I'll post pics when she's back!

Sounds like you need a Hyrbid daily driver and then use this as the weekend driving around for fun. Helps to keep the miles off the mustang as well. I have a 2002 mountaineer as a daily driver. I think the mustang gets better mileage then the suv. but i live in the snow belt and don't want to drive the mustang around on roads that are salty.
