1999 + REAR END SWAP IN FOXBODY
Hi guys I am new to the Mustang Forums!! I have a 1989 Mustang LX Hatchback that I have converted to 5 lug by swapping Ranger axles and using Mark V front rotors and hubs. Now I want to convert the rear end to disc brakes and upgrade the fronts. I have a 2001 GT rear end that i want to bolt up it came with good brake components, aftermarket control arms and landed with this rear end for no cost so I know the 99 + is 1.4" per side longer. My question is... is this DOABLE ?? I am wanting to mod the rear of it by tubbing it out or rolling the fenders etc and putting on wider tires. What headaches am i running into VS going out and buying a SN95 from a 94-98 Mustang.

nice car. if you can't get that rear end to work depending on how far away I maybe interested. I'm not even sure if I need a rear end. I just bought a salvage 1999 with rear quarter damage and i'm not sure if my axle is damaged. I need to jack it up but i don't have a nice garage like you do. It's all muddy outside and my jack will sink. I'm hoping it's just the control arms.
