Exclamation 2015 Ecoboost Mustang left idle for 14 months

Guys, I left my precious in Minneapolis to see my dad who had a stroke in my home country of Bangladesh. Then my work visa was blocked and until today it stayed that way. I am coming back after 14 months and worried to start the car just by recharging the battery. Any other precautions I should take?

Thanks in advance.

Just check the fluids. Your tires will have a serious flat spot and may need to be replaced.

That ^^^ and add some fuel stabilizer like Lucas or Heet about a few hours or so before you start it up.

If there's water in the fuel, the stabilizer will combine with it to keep it from doing any damage to the rest of your fuel system. If the tank is full or near full you may also need to run the tank down as close to empty as possible before you fill up with fresh gas.

Flat spots on the tires are a given, don't be surprised if your car vibrates like crazy until the spots disappear from driving or you replace the tires.

Good news! Car working normally. Had to change battery within warranty and tires are slightly feathered. Brake disks had rust that wore off quickly. $97 spent!

Nice, glad it seems to be working good, and also welcome back to Murica.
