Found bolt and nut at bottom of my driveway. Help!
It’s 4” long, w: 3/4 head (8.8 on the head) and a lock nut.
I found this bolt and nut at the bottom of my driveway and have no clue what it’s from. Anyone out there have a good idea of what it’s off of?

IF it actually came off your car... Looks like a bushing bolt, bottom shock mount...
Control arm bushing bolt...
If the nut was on the bolt when you found it, then it would have had to come from
a badly rusted part... It could not have fallen out of any mount if the nut was still
attached to the bolt when you found it.
Left over bolt from work, used new nuts & bolts and just forgot...

The nut was not attached to the bolt. I did just get my stunts and shocks done. I was hoping that wasn’t a part they forgot to tighten. Think I should take the bolt and car back to Les Schwab and tell them to figure it out?

Naaa, if the nut was on the bolt, 10:1 they left it sitting somewhere on the
car and it fell out when you hit the bottom of the driveway, or it rolled
down there. It could not have fallen out of a mount or anything like that
with the nut attached to it.
If it were something they forgot? You would have known right away...
If it was a shock mount bolt, you'd have one side of the car
lowered, or hitting the tire.. If it were a control arm bolt, you'd know that
too immediately when driving.

I recently had the engine rebuilt, had the shocks and struts done. The nut was not attached to the bolt which I would think if the nut came off the bolt wouldn’t immediately fall out next to it under any kind of pressure from holding a part in place. It’s a 90 gt vert. It had been sitting for about 4 years until I recently had it rebuilt.
