Default Posting in the correct section

hey guys, I’m finally buying my first mustang at the end of this month. im 27 years old and I’ve been waiting most of my life to buy a 4th gen mustang.

Its a 2003 mustang with the 3.8 V6 180k Miles, with a manual transmission. My plan is to drive it for fun and get my hands dirty maintaining it while I save money and gather parts to swap out the engine and transmission. I’m almost completely sold on the 5.0 Coyote engine with the 6-Speed transmission.

Before you guys jump in with your logic, I want basically everything to be new besides the shell of the car. I don’t care if I have to buy every single other part. I say this because my buddy told me to buy a GT so I can get some of the parts I’ll need with the car. I don’t want to do that, I want basically everything to be brand new besides the bones of the car. I also have another vehicle to drive while I’m working on the mustang.

That being said, I want to document everything I do just for fun, advice, and to help somebody out if they’re having the same problem or having trouble with a similar repair.

Long intro to a simple question.

what would be the best section for me to start this thread in? 1999-2004 mustang>4.6 section? SVT section? Please let me know so I can get started.
