Help rumbling sound when accelerating
 

So i have a 2008 mustang gt and every once and a while when i accelerate i get this rumbling sound and ill have the gas pedal almost floored and i wont accelerate until the rumbling stops? It sometimes feels like it has trouble shifting. What could it be?
