My girlfriend Just bought me a 89 mustang gt for xmas, Its pretty rough but thats what I want, I'm sure ill be on here alot asking questions about my car as I fix it up. My first question is, If I put an aftermarket intake manifold on, do I have to upgrade the injectors? Thanx

RE: proud mustang owner
you'll be fine. an intake upgrade alone won't even be noticible though. maybe 5 hp tops.
for the money and if it's bone stock, biggest gain is a set of gears, in the door tag there is "ax" code m=2.73, z=3.08, e=3.27 but they are only offered on the aod's
your stock fuel system can support 300 hp ez, the 19 lb injectors are good til about 325 or so, i would recommend doing a 190 pump though if start to reach that.
other than gears, exhaust will make it sound best (if it's not already done) but not a big gain either.
the big gains come from heads, blower, or nitrous
