New here and buying a mustang need help
 

I would take the 2005 GT if it were rust free, and I mean RUST FREE. Once it
starts, you can't keep up with it...

$6000 for a 2006 with 55k is an, okay price... I paid $5800 for a 2008 V6 Premium with
102,192 miles. You WILL NOT be happy with the V6 or V8 performance either, coming from
your EVO.

V6 to V8, you're gaining 90 HP over the V6. These V6s are capable of SO much
more, they just weren't built for it. I mean, 4.0 to 4.6? +90HP for that small amount
of +displacement...

At least with the V8 you have options, supercharger more readily available, + tuner =
much more power. I tuned my V6, and it woke it up, but still can't beat my VW.

Daily driver? Well, if you want to spend the money on fuel, they are not good for
MPG. Costs me $60.00 to run 450 miles. The same is $38.00 in my '15 VW 1.8T,
which kicks my V6 'Stangs' ass WITHOUT the boost module. With the Boost on +4
or +6, I can keep up with the V8, and still get 37MPG. Any stock '05 - '10, I have no
problems whooping with my VW. 2011 was the new 3.7 V6, 300HP. Those, I can beat
off the line for a few seconds at +6 boost, they pass, then I catch up once their torque
curve is reached at about 100MPH, or everyone I went up against just gave out... The
5.0s, not a chance unless they're inexperienced. I accelerate on turns too...

I would try and get a newer Ecoboost or 3.7 V6, 300+HP from either, at decent MPG.

I'm telling ya, you will not like going from 520 to 210 or 300 HP...
