got a question for all people who live in NY
ok, well i put a window decal on my front window of my mustang with my car club's name on it. And all my neighbors have been telling me that i can get a ticket for it. But then i think, why would roush have it on their window if its illegal. So if anyone lives in NY and can help me here, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can you see through it?....how low down does it go on the windshield? If it goes too far down on the windshield you can get a ticket for it....if the cop wants to be a ***** about it.

I'm a lawyer in NY and I do a lot of traffic court, and I've yet to see anyone in court for a sticker on the TOP of the windshield. I would say to be safe, stick to the dimensions on the ROUSH sticker and you'll be fine. IF you ever did get a ticket (which I doubt), plead not guilty and it'll probably be dismissed against you.

lol... the Galleria in White Plains? If so, that might have been me![8D]
Here's the NY Statute on Stickers on the Windshield:
V & TL § 375(12-a)(b)(1) states, “No person shall operate any motor vehicle upon any public highway, road or street: the front windshield of which is composed of, covered by or treated with any material which has a light transmittance of less than seventy percent unless such materials are limited to the uppermost six inches of the windshield;â€
So, basically, provided your sticker isn't more than 6 inches from the top your good. I'd measure it just to be sure. I just read through some cases where it got thrown out immediately because the guy took a picture of his car, a dodge neon with the word "NEON" on top...lol (which btw he should've been given a ticket for being TASTELESS, but thats another, and non-legal issue). He had a ruler next to the sticker which showed it was less than 6 inches and the case was thrown out.
Hope this helps,
Jay.
