Default detailing for the winter

I recently bought an 03 cobra, torch red. It's not perfect but I want to make it look as good as it can. I have M105 and M205 with the porter cable. I usually use meguiars gold class wash. I have miscellaneous waxes but I'm thinking about getting wet obsession. Planning on doing a good wash and dry, clay bar (recommendations for a clay bar?), going over the car with the polisher and M105/M205 where applicable, and then finishing with wet obsession. Does this sound good? Any input is recommended! Thanks

I used the Meguiars clay bar kit on my 95......background info: The car sat outside for 7 years before I bought it, and only saw about 8000 miles in that time. Trust me, it looked like hell. I couldn't even tell if the clear coat was still okay or not.

Anyway, I washed her up pretty good, but she still looked bad. Then I clay barred her-holy crap! The paint literally transformed from a dull, bland white to looking nearly new with a beautiful luster. Afterwards finished up with a hand wax and a good buffing.

Night and Day difference.

The Megs M105 followed by the M205 is a great combo. Wet Obsession will look awesome on your torch red paint, it will look very deep and wet looking. Something you might want to put on before the Wet Obsession is my OD Wet Glaze, this is a very popular combo and will add some more pop to the paint.

You can't really go wrong with any brand of clay, they are all made by the same company. The bar I carry is double the size of the claybars you get over the counter and is more cost effective.

HOpe this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
