Default my amp isnt working!

if any people on here know anything about amps and stereos and stuff, please help me! i just bought a new amp from target (4 channel) and i got it hooked up and everything and it makes a wirring noise through the speakers i have it hooked up to! its like a buzzing and the buzzing noise gets higher pitched whenever i rev the engine (so it kinda sound like a turbo, heh) but this is not the first time this has happened, i bought the same amp from target this summer and it did it too! i thought i blew out the first amp so i bought this one was going to return the blow amp as the new one because they are identical. does anyone know whats happening?!??! it doesnt do it when the key is turned to on but when i start up the car it does it!

ok i got it fixed, nah i wasnt grounding to the battery. i went and bought a noise filter from radio shack and hooked it up from the power/ground going from the battery to the cd player and it doesnt make that noise any more! now im getting a 600 watt bazooka amp to push my 10 inch kicker solo baric L7 (thats 600 watts RMS) do you think it will have some bass?

<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">hell yeah it will, and eventually i wannt get another solo baric as well, i love my cutlass, ill heres a pic of the interior: the glove compartment door, the pnaeling around the AC controls and the center console are painted in chameleon, if you look on the panel by the SC controls(right below CD player)you can see it changes from copper to green, im doing the whole dash pad tomorrow! that paint is expensive though... <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0"></P>

i had an 88 international two doorthat i used to compete with.. 155.60 db with 3 infinity perfect 10s running ported through the back deck,(cut out the metal between the 6x9s) running off an orion 2100. with 6 1/2 perfect components off a orion red 250.. you need to drill through your trunk and run your ground to the frame rail... run your power.. ground your radio to the frame instead of having it run to the wiring harness and then you can scrap that noise filter and pick up two db.. i can give you box design and everything for that car.. i had a fold out clarion as a radio and it looked killer the way that dash board is set up.. i can also give you designs for kick pods for that car for the front so you don't have to relly on 4 1/4 dash speakers.. the whole cab of that car is round and is an excellent vehicle for sound.. minus the amount of insulation between the trunk and the cab.. </P><edited><editID>tripsevn7</editID><editDate>37892.1188310185</editDate></edited>

insulation? you mean seats, lol if i ever go to a competition ill just take those out, and eventually ill be putting speakers in the doors, that way ill have more sound without the loss of all that foot room, even if it is just a little loss. some of the grand prix's (same body style and everything pretty much) came with speakers in the doors, so ill just get the door grills from one of them and put it on, because there is already a place cut in the door for a speaker. and then ill get some remote tweeters and stuff those some place (like where the ashtrays would be normally in the back, i dont smoke and wouldnt let anyone smoke in my car so i dont need ashtrays) and hopefully that will get some higher level sound bouncing around in there. right now i just have jensen 6x9's in the rear, the original owned cut a bunch of big holes in the back deck where the 6x9's shouldve been so now there is room for another pair of 4 inch round speakers next to the 6x9's, so ill prolly do that later on, you can get some pretty beefy 4inch's that sound pretty good. lol the reason im doing this is because ive already tried making my car fast, but its only a 3.1 and its not very fast compared to a 5.0 or and iroc-z, well actually my gf has an 86 iroc with a 5.0 and it can keep up just a little bit, but then again ive dont some stuff to my engine and her engine is bone stock and tired out. but yah, cutlass supremes DO NOT = speed. only the ones with the 3.4 DOHC are reasonably fast (210 HP stock) but then they are a bitch to take care of and you have to take care of them alot (the alternator is in the bottom of the motor, behind the motor, right above the subframe <IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">)
